MOS R&D Center strives to meet clients’ needs and quality standards of diversified rubber products. Equipped with world class test equipment, the MOS R&D Center was founded in October 1st 2013 and has operated as a key component to improve production efficiency.

South Korea’s rubber industry is composed of many small to medium companies, and this industry composition presents many challenges. One of major challenges is to produce accurate and reliable test results that matches the global standards in a timely manner. MOS R&D Center is designed to address this challenge by periodically updating all systems and maintaining the latest test equipment. The facility is fully capable of testing and analyzing numerous rubber products.

International Assessment of Proficiency Testing
Test reliability and precision may be difficult to assess objectively. But, in general, the evaluation index of Worldwide Interlaboratory Testing Programs provided by CTS (Collaborative Testing Services, Inc., USA) can be utilized. MOS R&D Center participated in the rubber testing program by CTS in the fields of tensile properties, hardness and density test in 2015, in which about 120 CTS testing laboratories joined worldwide. The MOS R&D Center was evaluated to have a fair level of test reliability and precision. The closer the assessment score to zero, the higher the reliability. And if the score is over the range of ±3.0, reliability is lost. MOS R&D Center gained CTS scores of +0.92 for tensile strength; +0.67 for elongation; -0.29 for hardness and –0.16 for density representing a good status.
